Gentle readers I have been very fortunate to have two of my poems selected by the online journal Aaduna. Their motto (tag line?) is “aaduna si dofa rey” which translates to “the world is huge.” It is indeed very much so and this wonderful, not-for-profit endeavor attempts, very successfully if I may say so, to bring so much of that gigantic world to its readers. Its publishers and editors work tirelessly to bring new voices for us all to hear and new visions for us to partake in. I strongly recommend you follow the link and enjoy what they have brought to us, in this Summer/Fall 2013 edition and in their archives.
Because these folks do so much to champion the underlying cause I fight for: giving a voice to the voiceless. They bring you work from emerging artists of all kinds and in particular focus their efforts on those who might be ignored. They publish the work of women, ethnic and racial minorities, the queer community and anyone else who is underrepresented in the art and literary world. They do good work and it is well worth your effort to check them out.
On their pages you can view the amazing visual art of people like Ashley Lane, or read the wonderful creative non fiction of writers such as L. Saint John or the poetry of folks like my dear friend Christine Green. They really do offer so very much and I am proud to be part of the Aaduna family. I hope you take the time to check it out. I know you will enjoy it.
